Community Programs

We are dedicated to making French language education accessible to individuals of all ages and families in the community through our after-school programming. These classes are open to everyone!

Bi-Weekly Kids Workshops (Ages 4-10)

Art and Philosophy

A fun program for little philosophers and artists! Each week, children will discover a new artist and explore a philosophical idea through creative activities and discussion. Art and philosophy are not only wonderful tools to open children’s minds but also a way to help them learn and improve a language.

In this program, children will have the opportunity to discover different French artists from different periods. They will study artworks and discuss their impressions and tastes and then create an original work of art inspired by the artist’s style.

Examples include:

  • Robert Doisneau and Friendship
  • Henri Matisse and Happiness
  • René Magritte and Dreams

Cooking Classes

Classes teach children about food, specifically where it comes from, and how to safely use kitchen utensils to create a fun and healthy meal or snack. Focus on francophone countries and cuisine.

French Language Classes

Les Poussins – The Chicks (Ages 3 – 4)

A gentle introduction to the French-speaking world, children engage in playful activities through songs, dance, stories, games, and more. Toddlers are immersed in a French environment.

Les Loups – The Wolves (Ages 4 – 6)

Les Loups classes for ages 4-6 introduce kids to French language through hands-on, age appropriate activities including stories, creative projects, songs and educational games.

Our curriculum based on colorful and imaginative storybooks is taught in French by experienced native French-speaking teachers. Our multi-sensory approach promotes a gentle immersion experience in small classes that allow your child to seamlessly become familiar with French.

Le Français Pour Tous – French for Everyone (Ages 7-17)

Our multidisciplinary approach encourages interactions in French with role playing everyday tasks to awaken students’ interest and imagination. Students will focus on developing oral communication, including both listening comprehension and speaking skills. Additionally, they will build a solid foundation in reading and writing in French at a beginner, intermediate, and advanced level while cultivating strategies to become a more independent foreign language learner. The curriculum integrates preparation for the DELF JUNIOR exams.
